3. A1Javascripts.com: Test Your Love!
http://www.a1javascripts.com
Usually I use our network announcements to tell you about general, large updates in our network of sites, and not to highlight an individual tool. However to every rule, there are exceptions! I just tried out the new "love tester" script on A1Javascripts (dug up by webmaster Ian McDonald), and I was quite impressed! Using my own name, and that of my fiancee, I scored a 96.5% (it must be love)! This cool script is a great addition for any website. Try it, or pick up the code free at:
http://www.a1javascripts.com/utilities/lovetest.html

4. FresherImage.com: 30 New 3D Animations
http://www.fresherimage.com
We've just added 30 brand new images to our 3D animation category at FresherImage.com, and while we were in there, we've reorganized that category into sub categories, making it easier to find the type of 3D animation that you are searching for.

View this updated category directly at:
http://www.fresherimage.com/3D_Animations/

The content in general at FresherImage has been blossoming lately, with frequent tip, and tutorial updates. Soon to come in the next few weeks will be more artist interviews from some of the hottest clipart artists and graphic designers on the web. We'll be rolling out our second artist interview later this week, featuring the masterminds behind clipsahoy. Make sure you're here for this one! If you missed our previous artist interview on Poul Carlsen, creator of DrawShop, I suggest you take a peek.

It can be found here:

5. HTMLforums.com: PaintShop vs PhotoShop
http://www.htmlforums.com
An interesting discussion has been gaining heat at our forum site, htmlforums.com. A thread for graphic junkies titled "PaintShop vs PhotoShop: Which shop is for you" has been recieving a flood of input from die hard fans of the image editors.

You can view the thread for yourself here:
http://www.htmlforums.com/ubbhtml/Forum8/HTML/000050.html

If you have any input on these software packages, stop by to post, or just read what others have said. Some of the other image editors that have been mentioned this thread include photopaint, and Ulead PhotoImpact. Don't miss this chance to share your views!

7. Looking for Submissions

8. Checking Your Site in Both Browsers
by Candice Pardue
http://www.webmastercourse.com

I had to learn the hard way! When I finished designing my site, I discovered then that 85 to 90 percent of all Internet users view the Web using either Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. I used Netscape Composer to design my entire website, as well as to view and check my web pages online for accuracy.

Little did I know that my website looked great on Netscape, but terrible on Microsoft Internet Explorer (MIE). I had both browsers on my computer system, but never thought of viewing my website using both. I read a discussion group posting about the subject and realized that I needed to view my website using MIE also.

So, I pulled up my homepage using the MIE browser, and it was a disaster. My web page was quite a bit distorted. The text overlapped the navigation side bar, and I couldn't read a word of it. Also, my headlines looked really weird.

Luckily, I discovered this error before doing any major site promotions. But, I had already designed most of my site (approximately 50 to 60 web pages). The problem was solved easily by simply resizing one table. But I had to resize that table on every web page of my site. This task was very time consuming. If I would have checked the first page outline using both browsers, I could have fixed the problem before designing the entire website.

If you do not currently have access to both browsers on your system, I highly recommend that you get both to check your web pages. Or, find a friend that has the browser you don't have and check your web pages with his/her browser.

Checking your site using both browsers will save you time and prevent you from losing valuable web business. Keep in mind that the majority of Internet users view the web using either MIE or Netscape. If you design your site to be friendly only to one of these browsers, you're missing out. This fatal mistake can result in complaints, lost visitors and business, as well as a bad reputation online. Online users expect your site to be professional and easy to navigate and read. If it's not, most will simply click out of your site, and some may even make an example out of your site as bad web design, ruining your reputation on the Web.

Please consider using both Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator to view and check your web pages. No matter which program you use to design your site, try to make your website friendly to all Web surfers to maximize your website success.

To download the Netscape Navigator browser, go to: www.netscape.com
To download the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser, go to: www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/

9. A Stone, Alone: Part III - Enter the Wizard
by Jason M. DesRoches

**This week we continue our saga with Part III of our webmaster Stone's storyline "A Stone, Alone"**

Stone's clever new formula has begun to change the nature of oracle querying. His formula, now utilizing the word "free", has produced many fruits from the forest, which had previously been buried deep. However, the forest is still quite volatile, and all has not yet been settled. An evil force also lurks deep within the forest's center which is yet unknown to our protagonist Stone.

It is only a matter of time until Stone reaches the center of the forest, while still producing fruits with his new algorithm. Stone comes across a large dark oracle, guarded by a strange looking old wizard. The wizards oracle is in the shape of Gemini, the twin stars, but it is somehow warped and twisted. The oracle isn't the largest that Stone has come across, yet it is  more intimidating. It is surrounded by many paths, however many more paths lead towards the oracle then away from it. In Stone's past experiences, the most productive oracles have had many more paths leading out then in, so this seemed quite strange. While Stone continues to size up the oracle, the wizard speaks unprompted.

"Ssstone, I have ssseen you and your oracle in thessse woodsss. You have built many pathsss leading away from your oracle, but you have not built many in. Your oracle will not grow Ssstone, unlesss you build your pathsss into your oracle. Ssstone, I have a large oracle asss you can sssee, I will help you build pathsss to yoursss".

"Wizard" Stone replies, "Your oracle is large indeed, and you are correct, I have not yet built many paths towards my own oracle. I have been busy gathering fruits and timber, so that my oracle may be friendly to those whom seek knowledge. Your assistance would be most appreciated".

"Excellent Ssstone", gasps the strange old wizard, "I will help you and your oracle much, but firssst, you mussst prove to me that your oracle isss worthy of my help. I do not help many, but thossse that I do have become the mossst powerful in the forressst. Ssstone, I can make your oracle large and powerful. Come sssit with me Ssstone, come ssspeak with me".

*End Part III*
Will Stone ally himself with the mysterious old wizard? What does the wizard want with Stone? Will Stone be led astray from his goal of settling the forest? Where the heck is this all leading?
